Newlyweds: Susan and Callum
Wedding date: 18th of March 2019 Wedding guests: 40
Theme of wedding: Intimate
Why we chose the venue?
We had initially booked in with another venue, though after a period of time the venue wasn’t exactly what we initially booked and needed to change venues ASAP. Once we contacted Camilla again she was onto it, and within a few days we had the Riverstone Estate booked. We feel in love with the beautiful bluestone estate with the best views of the yarra valley. It really didn’t compare with anything else that we had seen.

knee deep in wedding planning:
I chose lots of natural and native leaves in my bouquet as well as babies breath and white roses. I loved the simplicity of the white roses and I adore babies breath. We wanted our wedding to be very relaxed and to be representative of us, not necessarily based on traditional or typical customs. We had a candle lighting ceremony for my father who passed away when I was younger. At our reception we had the partners of our bridal party on the table with us because we wanted to be inclusive and for everyone to just have fun.
Best part of our day?

The best bits?
I really should have had another HMUA as we ran way over time and therefore missed some special time with my parents before the ceremony. Oh and just as I was about to walk out the ceremony I forgot to put on my veil and Sheila ran and got it for me and put it in!! I’m so sad that everything is over. It was such a build up to the day and it is all over in the blink of an eye. Im so glad that we really focused on what was important to us and followed that instead of fixating on all the little things that no one cares about.
our wedding dream team
Venue: The Riverstone Estate, Photo + video: Mardy from All my Wednesdays, Flowers: KT Blooms, Celebrant: We were lucky to have my godfather who is also a minister officiate out wedding. It made it very special and intimate. DJ/MC: Benn Stone from Melbourne City Side Celebrant. Wedding dress: Miss Gowns in Pakenham.
Cake and donuts: cake made by a lovely friend at work and donuts from a local bakery. This was a way that we could easily cut costs to fund the things that were really important to us.
