Jayde + Jake – Warrawong Estate, VIC

Newlyweds: Jayde and Jake
Wedding date: 27th of May 2022
Theme of wedding: Barn Wedding + Extra!

Hi! My name is Jayde and I recently got married on the 27/05/2022 to my husband Jake at Warrawong Estate in Eynesbury, Victoria. We visited Warrawong a few years ago when owners Angelica & Ian had first bought the property and were starting renovations. Even though the venue wasn’t even close to being finished at that stage we fell in love with it straight away. Warrawong had us right in the feels from day 1, its serenity and rustic relaxed vibes were exactly what we wanted.

Why we chose the venue?

There was no question that Warrawong was the place we wanted to tie the knot and Angelica made it so easy and straight forward that we just knew we would get married there. Covid lockdowns & the birth of our second son put us behind a couple of years but we revisited Warrawong late last year in 2021 and booked in our date right away. It looked the same but just better, everything had some TLC and things added everywhere but still keeping the rustic and relaxed vibe to it. Rachel the event planner was amazing to deal with, she made the process of securing the venue so easy.

The Ceremony

The outdoor ceremony area is so beautiful, walking down the blue stone steps to the gorgeous arbour and looking out into the open is such surreal feeling. It is spacious but intimate enough that it feels as if everyone around you is apart of your ceremony. We absolutely loved the wine barrels around, the silos put you right into that country feel and the outdoor fire pit was 10/10 our favourite part. Our guests stood around that all night considering it was a perfect, brisk night in May.

The woolshed

Warrawong speaks for itself, as you walk through this amazing oversized sliding barn door into this moody, rustic and romantic woolshed. You honestly don’t know what to look at first but it was so overwhelmingly inviting it takes your breath away. The long tables give the perfect room to set up candles & flowers, table runners and still have so much space. It didn’t feel crowed or to much at any stage. Up the top level there is these amazing velvet couches and a wood fire going, it was the perfect space to relax and chat to our guests (plus sit down for a bit). Our guests were buzzing about Warrawong and were saying it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had seen, and we tend to agree.

catering - Food + drinks

We chose to use our own catering, we used Jim’s Spit Roasts. Jim cooked us lamb & chicken on spits, as well as prawn screws & octopus on the spits. The food was AMAZING, Jim went above and beyond for us. We will be using him for all our future events, I actually can’t wait to have his food again.
We supplied our own alcohol, but had Warrawong’s incredible bar staff serve it.
There was honestly so many compliments all night, our guests were saying that it was the best wedding they had been to and complimented Warrawong’s staff & Jim’s food all night long.

our celebrant

Ebony Carver was our celebrant and she is the most beautiful person! Her ceremony for us was so personal and heart felt. I really feel like Ebony exceed the expectation. She had the process so easy!

our budget and advice

We originally had a budget of around $15-$20k but we exceeded that and I would say it was more like $30-$35k. Which we have no regrets as everything was perfect and exactly how we envisioned. If I have any advice for future couples is, do what makes you happy. Right down to your flowers, shoes, guests. Don’t let anyone else have expectations, this is your day. Own it.
