We live on a farm between Goondiwindi and North Star. Will have been together for 10 years on our wedding date 28/04/2023. Have 2 small children, Nash (3years old boy) and Thea (1year old girl).
Boyd grew up in the country and I lived in the suburbs and never thought I'd end up out here. Now with kids, I couldn't imagine being anywhere else.
What our Ideal venue looks and feels like
Simple rustic elegant. I love the country rustic feel without being too over the top. Everything I have looked at and loved seems so expensive (Gabbinbar) or a bit too far out of town.

Must haves & non negotiables
I have been looking at just having the ceremony at the Newtown Park & Queensland State Rose Garden (I like that it is outside and open and also cheap) and then the reception at the burke and wills hotel (I think it's very ideal to have the reception and the accommodation close as 99% of guest, including us, will need accommodation). I am just concerned if I will be disappointed.
Date is a non negotiable.
Other info you should know!
I am a major tight ass and can't justify spending so much money on one day (we have 2 kids and I'd prefer save for a house), and if I'd had my way we'd probably elope. My partner likes the big party deal and celebrating with all of our friend and fam.
